Book 2 in the New Species series. The books can be read as stand-alone stories, but it is advisable to read them in order to get the most enjoyment from the series.

After having the SUV rammed of the road, their driver, Bart, is injured. After Trisha patches him up the best she can. Slade wants them to get moving but Bart won't go. They have to leave him or they'll all die. The hunters shoot him after trying to get info out of him. Days spent on the run brings Trisha and Slade closer. Humans tracking them. Trisha nearly getting raped. Yet after being rescued Trisha and taken back to Homeland she doesn't see him. She feels used and dumped and heartbroken.

A series of events thrusts Slade and Ellie back together. Can he be the man she needs and wants? will he protect her?


I really enjoyed this book. For me it has it all. Drama, love, sex, angst, fighting. And hot alpha males. They are a quick read but still enjoyable.
