I was asked by the author to review this book.

This is the second book in the family portrait series. In this we are meeting the Banovic siblings.

Kevin, Zax and Adrianna Banovic

Personally for me there was too many characters, each with there own story. I don't think any of the characters had time to develop or tell much of a story.

Kevin is having an affair with an older woman, he is also her drug supplier. Unknown to him, she was his mother’s best friend in high school. He ends up saving Savi’s step daughter from her abusive boyfriend. He tries to end things with Savi but she starts to blackmail him.

Zax, he is loyal to his friend,Frankie, even though this friend is going out with the girl he loves and wants to be with. Zax has another girl after him, one he only sees as a friend.

Adrianna, she seems to have a split personality. She is this horrid mean girl at school, yet the perfect daughter, sister and friend at home. She got Astrid expelled from school but I have no idea why she did it.

This book didn't tell me much, it was like an introduction. I was waiting for it to get going and it ended. The ending was a little strange. I don't understand why Kevin would do that to someone he neither knew or was related to him. It chopped and change POV a few times. It was a little confusing. I wanted to know more about each person, wanted them to have time to tell me why they was doing something or acting in a certain way.

Since I haven't read the first book in this series I suppose it could tell me more about each of the characters. I found the ending was rather abrupt and very unexpected.

I have given the book 3 stars as i can see it has potential.
