This is a novella that is packing a huge punch!! It has some of the characters we met in The Ex Games and a few new ones. No doubt some i will love and others i will love to hate. I both love and hate novella's. Cliff hangers frustrate me in some ways and in others it makes me feel excited.
So on to the book. In the ex games we met Katie's best friend and roommate Meg. She had lost her job at the law firm, Brandon Hastings doing. When he found out that Meg had an interview at the private club he also warn Meg not to go. Yet he wouldn't explain more. Meg being Meg decided to go anyway. She thought it was a bartending job but its anything but, not that we actually know what her job is as nothing has been given away. I have my own theories. I believe there is more, much more to the private club.
Meg is given a trial, a three day trial even though she is not what the club normally look for in their employees. Her would be boss is showing an interest in her, something that is out of character for him.
This book has given me many, many more questions and not very many answers. What is the private club? what is Brandon's involvement in it? Is Maria, Nancy's sister, the same Maria that Brandon dated in college or the one who was looking after his son? Why would Greyson lie about Brandon not being engaged? So so many questions. Only seven days to wait for part II.
